It's our national day tomorrow. the best part about it is that we get a national holiday which means NO WORK! yippee!
does your country have a national day or independence day? I know in the UK they celebrate the Queen's birthday which is as close as it gets to national day.
In singapore, they invest lots of resources on the national day parade, which is on a floating platform this year. lots of hype about that one. and also they get army commandos to parachute off and land on that little platform. And I'm not sure any other country does this, but every year they commission someone to write a 'patriotic' song. This year there are TWO. :P

Happy Nationals!Hope you make use of 9th August!National Day for Malaysia is on the 31st August so it'll be a long weekend for us as it falls on Friday.Yeah,the boring parade goes on every year.

I am sure if you are living in KL, the fireworks would be wonderful to watch!
Great for people who have cameras that can take the pictures!

I have never been to a Malaysia National day parade before. I have heard that they put up quite a show for the fireworks portion as well.

ha ha... if they could, they would have done it long time ago.
The problem is, there are people who are willing to pay for the exorbitant prices that are being asked for in e-bay.
So, if there is a demand, there will be people who will supply.
Problem is, I always wonder, how does these people always manage to get the tickets, but those who truely want it, like myself, can never get it!
Even when I was involved in the parade when I was serving NS, I could not even get my hands on a pair of tickets for my parents! Frustrating!

The authorities should do something about it. If they don't want the tickets, they shouldn't get it in the first place!
I ballot year after year after year, and I never even get close to seeing a ticket. Let alone get one!
And there are people out there who gets it year after year and they sell them!
I mean, they do not want the ticket in the first place. Why are they still getting them?!?

Ah Ha! I missed the parada live on TV. I carried myloptop while on holiday and did not plan anything in the evening, just so that I can watch the Parade online. Its very frustated though. I paid for the internet connection but got difficulties streaming in the website. :(.
How did it goes?. It being the first time that the NDP being held at different location than the usual Padang or National Stadium, any spectacular things happened?.
I had been involved in NDP as participant several times before, but then I believe this year parade is something to experience ya. Do you enjoy the Parade or you spent the National Day holiday, cathing up sleeping in your King Koil bed. LOL.

Aiyah... missed the whole thing cos was stuck in traffic!
By the time the traffic cleared enough for me go reach home, darn parade is over already!
Sigh...
Cannot catch the fireworks live. Cannot even catch it on TV.
Only consolation is that I get to watch the fireworks of the Olympics on TV.
