How Do You " INTRODUCE " Yourself ?

all of us have gone through this question so many times in our life.. " introduce yourself ?" , " tell me about yourself ?" all of us have our own answer for it.... can we discuss what is that ? like me .. i used to say "myself rajeev kumar " but my old english teacher told me that , telling myself at a time of giving introduction is wrong. is it true ? so many question stand up like... how much lenght of our introduction should be ? can we say about my gardian in our introduction ? etc.... so what do you think ? lets discuss...
