How do you make 3 column templates in blogger?

Most of the templates I see are for two columns. I found instructions once on how to create another column, and I nearly destroyed my blog. How do you make your blog have 3 columns? I created the column, but then I couldn't make any changes to the new column. It was frustrating and I was kicking myself for not saving my posts. But it all ended up working out and I managed to recover everything. But now, I want to start a new blog that has three columns.

I have had a few ppl ask me this, so I wrote a step by step guide on my blog in a post. Please check it out and let me know if you have any questions http://www.moneymatters2007.blogspot.com/ I thought I messed up my blog too, but you have to chane it to a 3 column and then re log in at a later time and it will work. Its all in my post!!!

When I started on blogger I wanted a three column template. I found one - the link to it is in the footer of my blog. http://100inonehundred.blogspot.com A little tinkering and I got to do what I wanted. Good luck.

I have done this on two of my blogger blogs - it takes a little playing around - I tested it out on a test blog first. The second time I did it, it went very smoothly and I am very happy with the result. The best way is to start with the Minima template.
