Almost all of my postings end with LIVE IN PEACE I like the phrase and have used it for years. The other day I responded to a discussion about child molesters and my outlook of finding a short rope and a tall tree and solving the problem. Someone asked me what happened to LIVE IN PEACE. They asked me how could I say LIVE IN PEACE and not be tolerant of other ppl and their views (I also have strong views on gay issues).
To me peace is finding peace within yourself. To me it doesn't mean turning a blind eye to things that offend you or tolerating things you feel are wrong just to make other ppl happy. Too many times I see ppl ignoring things b/c they don't want to rock the boat. For a long time I kept everything bottled up inside b/c I was afraid of hurting ppl's feelings or offending ppl. Now, I speak out...and if ppl don't like it...well they don't have to...I'm at peace within.
What about you?? What does it mean to you??

For me, when I wish for peace, it means for everyone who is not trying to do harm to me or my loved ones. I'll try and be tolerant of someone with a different belief system or lifestyle, and wish them peace. Child molesters and other types that are harmful to society need help more than anything. If they seek help, or change their ways, maybe then I'll consider wishing them peace.

I don't think I could ever wish peace on a child molester or those type of ppl even if they did get help. I also find it hard to tolerate lifestyles I don't agree with. But thats me and we are each different in what we can deal with and what we can't. Thank you for responding.
