I recently recived this in an e mail and would like to hear your oppinions The article that I have attached below appears in today's edition of the Washington Times. This article is critical for a number of significant reasons. First of all, it shows that the porous borders of the United States represent a threat to our security as a means of entry into the United States for drugs that fund terrorism as well as for terrorists themselves. Not securing our borders provides easy and undocumented access to our nation by criminals and terrorists and enables millions of illegal aliens to circumvent the efforts designed, at great expense, to document the arrival of aliens entering our nation. The lesson here is clear to the bad guys who would want to enter our country. Why pick the lock on the front door when the homeowner has left the back door wide open? The politicians in Washington are frustrating the vast majority of Americans by expanding the Visa Waiver Program, not securing our nation's borders and refusing to properly fund efforts to enforce the immigration laws both along the border as well as from within the interior of the United States. There is virtually no integrity to the immigration benefits program yet the President continues to push for legislation to further erode our freedoms and expectations of privacy. As a former INS senior special agent I understand and appreciate the need for enhanced surveillance and other such measures. It is not, however, acceptable to increase these efforts while refusing to secure our nation's borders and create an immigration system that has meaningful integrity. I would remind you that we are rapidly approaching the 6th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, and our borders are still porous, Border Patrol agents who do their jobs are imprisoned, USCIS loses tens of thousands of critical immigration alien files and still provides benefits including United States citizenship to thousands of aliens without reviewing their files! When the next attack comes there will be no way for the self righteous politicians to stand before the cameras and microphones and thump the podium demanding to know why the "Dots were not connected!" In the years since 9/11 many of us have not only connected the dots, we have provided the "Fools on the Hill" with the crayons so that they could color in the pictures! Yet they refuse to do so. They must be made accountable in the voting booths the next time that they are up for election! We the People must become involved in the political process as never before, because our nation's survival is being challenged, as never before! Democracy is not a spectator sport! Lead, follow or get out of the way! -Michael Cutler- Member of the Board of Advisors American Congress for Truth
