I have a friend who's heart has been smashed to bits everytime he/she gets involved with someone, it's been to the point where my friend says that he/she is ready to give up.. I have been telling my friend that there will come a person that loves him/her for who he/she is. That there will be a person who will love him/her unconditionally but he/she just hasn't found that person yet and to give it time. What do you do? how do you convince a person that love can and will happen and how do you help them keep the faith to love? That is why I'm asking if you have been smashed to bits time after time would you still love agian? To love or not to Love?

I have been down that road many times until I understood that real love is when you see the same person every day for 34years like my parents and still say you love them.

yeah but to get to the process of learning how to love someone and finding the right person sometimes you have to go through some heartache to find the right person and that is what i was trying to tell him .. You can find love right around the corner maybe someone that you see everyday and haven't even noticed. I just want my friend to be able to realize that there is love out there and that it happens and not to give up. True love is not made up of lust. True love is wehre you can go see the person have a conversation and depending on the conversation truly know if the person is doing ok, not by them saying I'm ok but by being able to read all the signs. Love is something that takes time and sometimes it hit you like a frieght train on a run away track. but the best love is those that evolve over time.

yeah love finds you when you least expect it...But not giving up and being open to it is part of love when you write it off completely then you lose out on so much. You can actively stop looking but not give up and I'm trying to convey that .
