I've put this off for a long time, but now I'm signing up for paypal. I'm ready to receive my first payout... When you signed up, what did you sign up as? A buyer, a vendor or a business owner? Right now I will only be using it for myLot. I guess Business owner would be the most accurate pick. What do you think?

I did business owner because I was doing a small business with my friends from home. We went out and bought lots of books, dvds, cds, and all kinds of things and sold them online. We did pretty well for ourselves too.

Take the free account that they offer. If someone sends you money with a credit card and you accept it your account will be upgraded automaticly.

You should sign up for a personal account because you are not doing business but receiving payment - which is your personal earning.

I am glad you posted this discussion because I am coming around to my first payout on Mylot and wasn't aware of the pros and cons of different catagories. I will have to check...but for now I started out with personal...even though I own to businesses. My approach with new ventures like this is make haste slowly...it appears that is easier to go up..than go back. Whatever you decide to do I wishe you continued success...and we'll have to check in and celebrate the Paypal...payouts from Mylot. Looking forward to this extra little perk we receive from participating in something we enjoy anyway. Cheers!

I would start out as personal until you know where your going and what you want to do with it. Thats where I'm at right now. You can always change later if you feel the need to. I been there with a personal account since I started her last year.

I forgot now. I signed up some time ago because I love shopping at Ebay. Now I have a small shop on Ebay so I switch my account to Business, I can buy or sell so it must be Business, can't be just one category

I signed up as a business owner, but I do own an off-line business that my website it connected to. I think it best to do this as you have access to paypal "pay now" buttons that you can put on a blog or website. :-)

I signed up as a buyer, I think the others all incur a monthly fee or something. But as a buyer, you are limited to certain amounts and transactions per month off memory, but those figures are still pretty high, so there shouldn't be much problem.

Sign up as a buyer, I made the mistake of signing up for a bussiness and you get taked with a heavy charge on each dollar, they take like 12 cents off

I signed up as buyer because I wasn't selling anything and when I started using paypal it was to pay and buy stuff online through ebay.

I think premier is best for you , because the biz account takes out a fee everytime someone sends you money , so let's say mylot payment comes in , paypal is going to take a fee
