If Britney Spears were a nobody would she still have custody of her kids?

We've all seen the absolutely silly things that Britney Spears has done with her kids. Like the time she was holding her baby while driving and smoking at the same time! Good grief! If that had been someone from my neighborhood, the Department of Children and Family would have been knocking on her door the next morning! And, there would have been a huge investigation. She would have been lucky to be allowed to keep her kids or ever see them again. Instead, the entire incident was swept under the carpet and Britney just kept going on making bad parenting decisions, until she landed in rehab. I guess celebrities get preferred treatment when it comes to the law. They get to be bad parents and noone does anything about it. What do you think? If Britney Spears weren't a celebrity, do you think the state would have taken her kids away? She has demonstrated her ability to be violent in public. That could be a menace to the kids. What do you think?

She wouldn't have been able to do half the things she's done and keep her kids if she was just a "regular person". I think it's disgusting. Around here CYS is so "vigilant" that even good parents get investigated because of stupid things and vague rumors. And they can get away with it since no one really wants to deal with the cost of a lawsuit against them. But Britney...it's a totally different story. SHE'S the one with the money so she gets to get away with whatever she wants.

Honestly when I think of all the children that are abused (physically and sexually) and they are still with their parents- this worries me much more than Brittney Spears and her kids- I think if these unfit “normal- non-celebrity” people get to keep their kids for offenses much worse than what I’ve seen of Brittney (not that I think holding your baby and driving is a good idea- or smoking with your child right there) but there are worse- So anyways- I’m sure she would still have her baby- and you know what- no one would know the wiser- if she wasn’t a celebrity- it would not have been on the news.

No, if it was one of us, they would be beating the door down wanting them. They get away with alot of things. It is amazing what being famous can do for you.
