Hi littlefranciscan! Well this is just my opinion...I think if the Iraquis wanted to be left alone, we should respect that. It is their nation and they know what is good for them. In wars, there are actually no winners...most of the innocents are the one being sacrificed and if nations wanted so much to help, I hope they do it genuinely and sincerely without having any hidden interest such as of course, the oil that they have. Again, this is just my view. Have a nice day and take care!

I think that..it's time for the soldiers to come home..There is such a thing of "wearing out one's welcome"

..no because they'll probably get slaughtered by each other and by those coming in and stirring each side up..
I think it would be rather easy to subdue the incoming terrorists (and all) if we really dug in and did it, but we're too spooked by being villainized (made out to be the bad guy by all the press(es).. to actually get the job done.
Once security is much more established, much more can be done as far as having a thriving community.. I have heard the north and south are rather thriving.. lots of building going on.. With Baghdad and the center being the unsecured locale..

I don't think Iraq will make it on their own but they are biting the hand that feeds them ..killing us soldiers who sacrificed so they could be free.

I've always thought that everyone should fight their own battles and the US should stay out of it. I know we try to help other countries but I think we usually end up making a mess for them to clean up and end up losing our troops in the process. Yes, I think we have done all we can in Iraq and it's time for us to leave. How much does our government think we can do there? We have to give them a chance to see if we taught them anything at all.

America has always gone to help other countries...look at World War I, II, Vietnam, Korea, etc.
I know we get pulled into war because of alliances..but who really gets hurt..not the ones who lead..it's the one who follows.

Well you kbow i night say that always thought that everyone should fight their own battles and the US should stay out of it. I know we try to help other countries but I think we usually end up making a war for them toclean and end up losing our people in the process. Yes, I think we have done all we can in Iraq and it's time for us to leave. We have to give them a chance to see if we can change anything
