ok granted, it's a rough draft and just a thought. This could never happen nor is it legally right but like it said it's an idea. So we think that once you are born you should be fed birth control pills (for girls only) Then once you are 18 you are allowed to either stay on them or take yourself off of them. Now this would be a huge government legal thing so no one would be having their rights taken away..in this imaginary world. This would just be how the new world would be. Just like giving children shots when they are born to prevent illness and disease. My husband is a huge futuristc guy and he thinks of these things alot. Like I said again, I know this doesn't sound right. But my husband and I are very agrivated at people having unwanted babies and over population. I know this is going to start a huge thing agaisnt me and probably a long debate. This post might even get deleted but oh well. I wanted to say it. Please give your thoughts on this idea. Not just my idea but your thoughts on overpopulation and unplanned births.

This reminds me of The Giver and Brave New World, both of which backfired if you remember correctly. A utopia just is not possible. Children should not be force fed medications they should be taught responsability and right from wrong. I think your idea just allows for parents to be even less involved in their children's lives than they currently are. Parents should eb concerned with educating their children than pumping them full of pills

There are a whole lot of problems with your little idea here. First, no one should be force fed birth control. As great as it is, it can be very dangerous for some people. Second of all, if you give children birth control pills, it would put horomone levels in their bodys that are NOT there naturally, and would cause them to go through puberty at an incredibly young age and get their period, and mature. They wouldn't be children. They'd be incredibly small adults with a hell of a lot of health problems. Not to mention, that birth control pills have side effects and risks that increase with the amount of time you've used them. Next, overpopulation is going to happen. Instead of worrying about that, why don't you worry about recycling so we have enough resources for these unplanned children. Self-righteous people like you make me sick.

I, for one, think that's an amazing idea. I'm sure if it ever happened, it'll be nowhere in the near future, but it's a cool concept nonetheless. Catholics would be against it, of course, since they don't believe in birth control.

Yeah my husband is into world governments and sci fi stuff so he had the idea and I keep telling him catholics...Mormans and everyone who is into pro choice...which I am...will have a problem. But I really like this idea for pre teens not having anymore children.
