what dudley said to harry on the last night they met

It didn't seem like the Dursley's cared at all but just wanted to get away. Dudley however seemed to grow in that scene very quickly. He says "Dad-I'm going with these Order people." and Harry responds that "for the first time in your life, you're talking sense." Then later Dudley says 'I don't think your a waste of space." And even tells Harry he saved his life (from the dementors), then as he is finally going out the door he turns and offers Harry his hand. Very mature for Dudley and it showed that maybe he was realizing some life changing information.

hmmm... dudley kinda felt grateful towards harry for saving him from the dementors probably and it could be that he changed a little over the years...

Harry had saved him from the dementors, Petunia knows magic stuff a bit, so she knows that her son was going to die that night, she might have told it to Dudley, which might have changed his attitude towards Harry

I didnt expect this, we all know there has been some sort of feud between the two, and I never expected Dudley to be nice like that to Harry.

Spoiled and selfish as Dudley may have been he realized that Harry saved his life and for that he is grateful.

dudley was greatful for harry for saving him from the dementor that attacked him. so he was like, thanks harry, mom and dad why isnt he coming with us... i think dudley realized that harry isnt bad as what his parents always say and moreover, harry saved him despite the fact that they treat him like dirt. as for aunt petunia, i think deep inside, she has a little affection for harry since he is her sister's son. maybe she was just pissed to the fact that harry had that magic which lily had which snape used against her. so petenuia doesnt like magic and anything or anyone that has got to do with it. but harry ws lily's son and she loved lily when they're young and she never realyy hated her.

Well the fact that dudley saw himself when the dementors attacked him , made him realise , how foolish and bully he has been , and he had realised over these few years ! and that also made him feel that , he should apologise to harry and thank him enough for saving his life . Maybe we can say taht he wanted to know if harry would be safe thats why he asked him where was he going . It felt warm , to know dudley changed in those years !

yeah, this scene is heart warming though.. the thought that dudley now recognizes harry means simply of a change of heart... still, they are blood related..
