Well, for the first time I have experienced what some of you have mentioned. I made several posts yesterday and the rating number beside my name went down overnight from 532 to 531. I don't remember responding to any discussions that were even close to questionable. But I've noticed several posts from people complaining that their discussions have been deleted for no apparent reason. I wish we would be notified when a discussion of ours is deleted so we know what the problem was. Then we could avoid it in the future.

Oh I so agree, a notification with reason would be so nice so we at least understand what in the world happened to our points. One thing that could have happened, that happened to me was one of the discussions you posted to was a copied post. I lost a few points cause I didn't know this member was stealing posts from others here at Mylot.

Stealing posts from other members is really bad. I never considered that possibility. If a person can't think of their own discussions, they shouldn't be on a discussion forum such as this. That's would be like butting into a conversation and repeating what someone else has just said. How sad.

the decrease in rating no. is due deletion of the posts which u responded or started, i also think on same lines that we should be warned first before deletion of a post

I don't have ratings yet, but I will be glad to contribute to this discussion. What's with this rating anyway, how does this affects you. I believe that you can go on with your life without this rating. Its just a way for mylot to distinguish the active users from the not active.
