My favorite grocery store closed!

When we moved to our tiny town we had three grocery stores. But, my favorite was Winn Dixie. Sure their prices were always higher, but they had a more friendly shopping atmosphere, so that made things easier for me. And, they always had outrageous buy one get one free specials on ribs and meat. So, that saved lots of money. But, then the Walmart Super Center moved into town and ran them out of business, literally! And, now if I want to shop at the Winn-Dixie, I'd have to travel almost ten miles to the nearest location. No way I can afford to do that. But, I wish I could! Has your favorite grocery store ever gone out of business? Did you find yourself having to travel much further just to buy the things you wanted from your favorite store? Or, did you just settle?
