Hi. Yes I watched this movie last week, and wasnt too shocked by it, or somewhat intrigued, as I had read a book on the "Mayan Tribes and surrounding people"... We enjoyed it, I wouldnt say we enjoyed it thoroughly though...

Haven't seen it, but it's on my list of movies to watch. I love Mel Gibson... especially after the Passion. He's alright!

I thought it was a great movie. Like you I didn't know what to expect or expect much. I was impressed. I LOVED all the detail that he put into it. Those customs were AWESOME! I thought the story was pretty good.

I watched it several months ago and at first I felt gross because it was kind of offensive to me. But the story as a whole is amazing. In the end, I found myself admiring the lead actor and I think I would like to watch it again but with the exception of the offerring of the heart because I can't stomach that part.

I watched it months ago with my family when i was in Philippines. I was a bit hesistant at first because my brother who saw it already said it's a bit violent, the effects. I admit I was a bit eewww!! with the killings and how it was portrayed. You're right about the storyline, it was weak. But I ended up liking it...LOL!! the effects and how it was done was brilliant, and I was amazed that those tribes really do exist..I couldn't imagine their culture. But the movie was good.
