What Am I Doing To Improve India??

My Friend wrote in my Slam Book : You cannot change the world in a day or two Instead do the very best in the little things you do And then you will find in the ways to come That those little things did change And make the world a better place..... This is very sane advise. There are so many things we do in our everyday life.... Do they add to the confusion and screw up things more than they already are, or do the things I do, in a small way reduce the misery...? It could be something small like "I follow traffic rules", "I prefer carpooling to save petrol", "I wanna work in India rather than abroad bcos I want my country to prosper" or "I work abroad so money can be sent to India"..... everyone has a different perspective... so explain your point.

Hi touchnshine, I so very agree with your friend there. If all humans do their jobs properly and maintain a civic sense then i think this place would have been a better place to live in. That's what i am trying to do. I am much into global warming nowadays and have started to add towards reversing it greatly. Like i have started to conserve energy in my homes by judicious and minimum use of electricity and i have concentrated on jute, cloth and paper bags instead of plastic ones. I didnot have a chance to plant trees or even prevent cut down those. but i have started to make the maids in our house and neighbourhood about this issue. You are doing a great job. pls keep it up. Thanks for a responsible post.

I discharge my duties and responsibilities with utmost care and honest and I remain completely sincere while discharging my duties, whether as an employee, a citizen or as a human being. I believe, if we discharging our duties we can contribute a lot, towards society and we should not indulge in illegal or unwanted practices, prevailing our society. Very Good Post!

You have raised good discussion. Every citizen should think about his county’s prosperity and advancement. You mentioned some points how can one contribute for his country. For any king of big work it required lot of time and efforts but we every person of the country should work our respective duties honestly and effectively. Corruption is one of the major problem and indulgence in our country, we should work for it and at least we should not indulge/ involved in it. I think this is the major contribution in making our country more prosperous and great.

Hi tweety, Nice discussion. As once somebody said , don't think what your country is doing for you, but think what you can do for your country. It has been my dream that when I will get retired, I will go to some village and select some good children and teach them for free. If each one will do something for country without expecting anything in return then surely one day we will have better India. But as they say preaching is easy but practicing is difficult....so unless we indians are really determined to do something, it is just not possible. Each one should look into his own concious and decide to really do atleast one goodturn for his or her country.

I am trying to infuse National pride in children and adults in various ways, even through me posts here and in other forums. I do my duty as a good Indian but this is my little extra for my country.

YEs it's very much true. A big change is not possible in a day or two. For this we may have to wait for a long time. To bring that change quickly in the society we can try to bring like minded people togather to speed up the change. But there is no guarantee that it'll be over within a specified period but one thing is sure that ultimately you'll succeed.

Actually the mindset of the ruler is the imperative key. But this is sensitive issue to discuss on board. But let us put in/on general. The VMO - visions, missions and objectives is the key to success. Economy for every country are depend and driven by VMO as it will effects the peoples' income per capita.
