i have learned this when i was in beauty school and from my mom.to get the reddness out of a pimple, you can use visine which takes away redness for the eyes but also works great on pimples, also soften 2 aspirins in a cup with 2 tea spoons of cold water,it makes a paste then apply it to the pimple, and leave it on as long as you can then rinse, this works wonders.i dont get pimples, but my niece does, shes at the age of it,so we did this to her,its been working wonders.

Ok, I've been having some pimple problems lately and I love any home made suggestions. I've never heard of visine, but I guess it must be available at the local pharmacy. I don't have a lot of redness involved with my pimples so that doesn't matter to me. It's your other suggestion that really interests me. As some before me also asked, does the aspirin paste completely treat the pimple, and prevent future ones? I have been getting a few of those blind pimples, I used to squeeze them before and there wasn't much scarring. But lately I didn't do that, I had two huge ones and I stopped myself from squeezing them, but later the skin over them became really soft and it tore by itself and now I'm left with those unattractive pits. I would so love to have my clear skin back. So if this aspirin thing will prevent that then that would be great. And one other thing, panadol is more common here than aspirin but has the same effects, so would it be advisable to use that instead of the aspirin?

Actually I just read up on yahoo, and I think what I had that caused the pits to develop were cysts, that are caused by the bursting of a hair follicle, they were extremely painful and caused scarring in the form of pitting. Now I wanna know if there is anyway to get rid of those pits.

Yeah, they are not that severe and I tried the panadol paste yesterday, I feel it had a good effect although it's still too soon to tell. I'll do it again today and be consistent with it.

depending how deep the pits are,if they are just slight then you can try coco butter,or a lotion on them.even the aspirin,or the panadol.if they are severe then you have to get them lasered,or checked out.

no offense but that's a slap in the face to someone who really suffers from bad breakouts. That stuff doesn't work, unless you don't really have it bad Someone who truly suffers from this deisease would also agree with me

I will have to keep this in mind my daughter gets pimples once in a while. They seem to come at the most inoppertune time. You know when they are getting ready for pictures or even the prom. I will make a copy of this for her. I always like to use home remedies when possible. The people from many years ago new how to cure many things without all this new fangle stuff. The problem with modern medicine is that there are so many side affects. I have heard of remedies for just about everything. Sometimes I wonder if the doctors don't keep us sick because they make more money. The pharmacy makes more money the longer we are sick. I can not help but think that there is more money going into just keeping these desease at bay not actually cure any thing.

I can vouch for both of those. They both work really well. Visine can even be used on scars when they are red. It seems to lighten them up. White toothpaste seems to help on acne as well. It just can't be left on too long because it can cause some minor irritation to the surrounding skin. Thanks for sharing your wonderful tips hon.

I never heard those two things! Wow. Very interesting, it'd be great if they worked. I've been trying forever to rid myself of my problem, I think i'll go try the aspirin one right now! lol. Thanks!

Ha ha. That would be a great part to add in visine commercials. "It not only takes the red out of your eyes, but it takes the red out of pimples too!" I don't know if I'd want to waste aspirins on my pimples. Does it just reduce redness or does it make them disappear? I don't have pimples either really anymore...and thankfully I've yet to ever have a big pimple problem!

well I was saying if the aspirin paste didn't cause the pimple to go away I'd think it'd be a big waste of aspirin.

Thanks for the tip. I have never heard of that asprin trick before, I will have to try it. Does it dry the pimple up or just take the rednees out of it? I find that Calamine Lotion can work well too for drying up a pimple.

Wow thanks for that. My daughter is 12 and just starting to get pimples. She hates the redness. She got one right on her nose two days ago and wanted something to rid of the redness. We will try this out for sure. Thanks!
