Do you know any nice korean movies?

my sassy girl - My Sassy Girl is a 2001 Korean romantic comedy film. It is partially based on the true story told in a series of love letters written by Kim Ho-sik, a man who posted them online. The film is directed by Kwak Jae-yong. The film was extremely successful in South Korea. When My Sassy Girl was released throughout East Asia, it became a mega blockbuster hit in the entire region, from Japan, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia, to the point where it was drawing comparisons to Titanic. Through positive word-of-mouth, the movie eventually became one of the most popular South Korean films among Asian Americans in the United States.

My favourite korean movie is actually called The Way Home. It is not the typical romantic funny korean movie. It's a very touching movie. It's about a spoilt city boy whose single mom falls on hard times. The mom had no choice but to ship the boy off to the rural mountain town where his grandmother lives. The grandmother is a hunchback who is also mute and illiterate. Initally, the boy treats the grandmother with disrespect and apathy. However, after seeing how his grandmother put up with his nonsense and the sacrifices she makes for him, he soon learns about love and kindness. This show is very touching. I cried in most part of the shows. Initally, I was crying because I feel sad for the grandmother. I hated the way she was being ill-treated by the boy. Towards the end, I was crying because I was touch by the love between the grandmother and the boy. If you haven't watch this movie, you must watch it. It's one of the best korean movies I have watched. Do prepare lots of tissue.

I already watched My Sassy Girl, Il Mare (adapted in US in the movie The Lake), My Girl and I, The Legend of the Seven Cutter (Escaping Charisma). Next on my watch list is the King and The Clown as Lee Jun-ki stars in this movie. Jun-Ki also starred in the drama series My Girl.

I haven't watched all those movies you've mentioned except My Sassy Girl. Hopefully, i'd be able to watch them after this week. I'm kinda busy these past few days because it's examination week. =)
