What's the most expensive comforter or bed spread you've ever purchased?

Recently, I found the most gorgeous bed spread in a quaint little catalog. It's one of those catalogs of really old fashioned products and such, like stuff you'd find in your great grandmother's home. Or, at least stuff I remember in my own grandmother's home. The bed spread was chenille and unbelievably soft (or so they said). And, wouldn't you know it, the price was well over $100. And, while that's not really a lot of money, I know the bed spread would only look new for two or three weeks in our home, before our little kid marks it up with a crayon or tracks mud over it! So, I guess I'll stick with what I have.
As is, the only comforters or bed spreads I buy are from the Big Lots and they cost less than twenty dollars each. Now, that might seem cheap, but with a little kid around who loves to mess up stuff, it's just smart thinking. No way I'm going to make a huge investment into something that will get ruined in no time at all. Maybe after she grows up a bit.
So, what is the most expensive comforter or bed spread that you've ever purchased? Do you still have it in your home?
