Do you get along with your in-laws?

I'm getting ready to go have dinner out with my in-laws. My husband is out of town. So it's just me and our kids going. I only have conflicts with my in-laws when it comes to my mother-in-law visiting her boyfriend. Yes, she's still married!!! She takes my kids over to her "Friends" house to visit. Then she tells the kids not to tell my father-in-law who they were visiting. Any advice on how to handle this? She has helped us out so many times we feel like we're stuck. Help!!!

I get along fine with my mother-in-law but not so well with my father-in-law and his wife. It's difficult to admit, but I'm glad they're not still married to each other or I might have a situation like yours to deal with.
I am curious though, are you sure it's her boyfriend and not just a male friend if she's taking your kids along for the visit? It kind of sounds like they're serving as chapperones.
