A friend of the roomie's brought over a young cat - like 4 months old - over a couple of weeks ago. This gal has been hard on my ego since she didn't seem to like me. I've got what my friends call "cat magic." Cats that don't care for anyone would let me get close to them. So, this sweet gal not liking me was hard on me. But just in the last few days she's come around. She's cuddling & coming to visit me. I guess she's discovered I'm allergic to cats.

Maybe she has some trust issues. My Abigail has some tust issues, she loves to be seen by my company but do not touch her.

The first 2 weeks she would go to the roomie & run from me. Now she's cuddling in bed & making her big purr just for me! I'm happy again!

Cats are funny like that. Sometimes they just need some time to get used to new surroundings and new people. So is it a good thing that she likes you, being how you are allergiv? Or a bad thing?

Cats are odd beings. They know - somehow - the people that are allergic to cats or hate them. Then you might just as well be wearing catnip clothes! So, since I obviously don't hate cats, I just love the fact that they know I'm allergic & don't realize that I've got the allergies under control. I almost always have cats loving on me.

Probably just scared at first- glad that she is coming around- Cats are great! I too am allergic but we still have 1 cat- and she is an indoor cat- so I’m constantly vacuuming and dusting- and she always runs up against me!

It's always the case: a person who either does not like cats or has an allergy to them ends up with cats in the end. For me it is that I can not afford them and they come in groves. Go figure.

Isn't it funny? I've had anywhere from 1 to 7 cats at a time, and the minute a person with cat allergies walks in the cats are all over that person! Like they have to see if the person is going to be allergic to them, personally! Sounds like you've got "the touch" as well!
