If you had to name one thing you are addicted to what would it be?

Cigarettes - Total addiction!

I have a couple of addictions the worse one being smoking! I've tried to quit hundreds of times but I never kick the habit. It's like being a drug addict and I do realize that since nicotine is a drug then I am a drug addict! I know all the bad things about it....costs too much, smells bad, definitely not good for me physically and I still can't quit. My second addiction is definitely my pc. From the moment I wake up to the time I go to bed I'm usually on it. Granted, most of the time I'm working on my money making sites but I do take a break to play some games. What is the one thing you know you are addicted to? Have you tried to stop? If so what were your results?

addicted to sleep - a polar bear napping on a log
I'm addicted to sleep, definitely. Even when I'm not tired I like to nap as frequently and as much as I can. It's not that I'm lazy. I work hard if I have to. I just find sleep to be the best form of relaxation.

Yeah, I got that smoking addiction too. I have quit for 6 and 4 years at a time, a long time ago. I know how much better I felt when I wasn't smoking and I could just slap myself for starting up again when I did. The good thing is, I know I can quit. I just recently got nicotine patches and used them when I went on a two week vacation with my mom. Sad thing is, as soon as I got home (I didn't wear a patch that day) I lit up! One day I will quit for good. PEACE

Yeah, those patches are great for a short period of time. They haven't helped me for longer than a week then I'm climbing the walls and making everyone nuts. They beg me to start smoking again...lol...

I too am a smoker. the worst part is that I also have bronchial asthma and HAVE to quit. One can not quit till one is ready totally to give up this habit as we've all learned by our many attempts. The best I had ever done as far as quitting is 5 months. I was taking Zyban and that worked great until I couldn't handle the moodiness, and crankiness from the side effects. I have tried many other ways to quit this nasty habit but I have yet to stop. That's the key word here STOP! One can quit and one can stop. I quit 40 to 60 times a day but I can't stop. I'm just not ready it seems to stop smoking. Someday soon I hope to stop. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Way to go!!! Congratulations for quitting cold turkey like that. You must be a very strong person. As for the computer....well join the crowd. At least it's not as harmful to your health as smoking was right?

Addictions don't have to be illegal. Smoking for instance. Ok, we can't do it everywhere we want to but it's not illegal...YET! lol....I love your salt water taffy addiction. Sounds yummy!

I have some addictions. I'm a smoker, try as I might, I just can't seem to quit. I smoke a lot less now than I used to though. I'm a caffeine junkie. I drink coffee like water. I'm addicted to my computer. Like you, I spend most of my time trying to make some money though. Oh, one last addiction. At the risk of sounding sappy, I'm addicted to my husband. We're still in the newlywed phase though, so that could change in a few years. :)

I am addicted to the computer. It is hard for me to live without it. In the past I thought I couldn't live without TV, but computer already took place to it. I found computer is quite useful and it can do a lot of fantastic jobs. Sometimes I need a break even if I like computer, after all it'll be harmful for eyesight if you face it for a long time.

I am addicted to eating chocolates. I try my best to control but all in vain. I have my stock of chocolates piled up at home. My hubby is addicted to smoking. He does promise me that he is gonna quit smoking but till date it has not worked. I guess Smoking becomes an addiction and is not easy to give up.

Hmm.. I could name a lot. Your discussion says one. But I'd like to add more: Internet. Love. Chocolates. Fruits/Watermelon. Cleanliness. Sleep. =) I was once addicted to the net so much (actually not the net, more of chatting) that I'd go home at 3pm (our out is usually 5pm) and then not eat dinner anymore just chat, and would sleep around 1am or 2am. That's around 11hours of online chatting!. Whew, I wanted to quit but simply can't. I guess you can't actually decide to quit. Somehow the habit just quits on you. So sooner or later, I didn't need to go online anymore, didn't see nor feel the need to do so. I could say I completely went off going online-habit when I fell inlove with my partner. I'd rather just talk to him than turn-on my pc. Now, whenever he's at work or I'm not doing anything, I'd rather go myLot than go chatting. I don't really know, maybe I was secretly searching for my soulmate online that's why I had fun talking to a lot of guys there, now that I have found my match, I find most of the people there lame. Whew. Sorry for the word. =)

I am addicted to the internet (I work on it and use it for everything). I am addicted to online shopping. I am working hard to overcome that but I love it! And iced tea. I literally crave it if I don't have it for a day It's not a caffeine craving, it's an iced tea one. I haven't gone a day without a big glass of it in ages. Otherwise, I am just addicted to staying up REAL late until morning and waking up mid afternoon which has GOT to change!
