I don’t believe anyone is that stupid. Just like the people who intentionally leave kids in cars, this woman knew, deep down, that she was leaving her baby in a life-threatening situation.
At some level, maybe one they can’t even admit to themselves, these people WANT their children to die. Doing it this way will allow them to tell others (and themselves) that it was an accident. If they can sell that story, there will be no legal repercussions and they garner immense sympathy.
Thank God for her vigilant and talkative neighbors. Otherwise, police might have taken her story at face value and nothing at all would have happened to her.

OMG....I cannot believe a mother would do this to their own baby...I lost my third child 3 months ago..I had a case of severe pre-acclamsia toxemia and it just breaks and sickens my heart to think someone could treat a child this way...

Thank you about my loss..But even before this happened hearing stories like this just broke my heart they are innocent children and babies and for their own mother to play dumb and do this to them my goodness..I hope she gets what she deserves for what she did..

This kind of stories really make my hair stand right up. It is common sence that you do not leave your 9 month old alone, especially not in the tub. I can get so angry that people just go ahead doing this sort of stuff without thinkin. I don't even leave my children in the car when I am getting gas, even when I can see them.

it's kind of strange. if she had a cell, why went to the neighbor and used it? she could have used it right there at her house since her child was found there. then she left the house and she said she didn't? strange

this sounds fishy to me. Does it sounds like she was trying to commette murder and get away with it and calling it an accident. Man she needs the book thrown at her. The story did not say what the other other childer where doing when she went to the store.
She does not desever children
