I have to say that im in love with reality tv. Its gotten to the point where i barely watch regular tv series. Im the happiest girl alive if theres a marthon on mtv. I remember when reality first came out with survivor and such and there was alot of talk about it. What do you think? Reality tv...love it or hate it?

I used to like it, but not anymore. It's just such a turnoff the way it's taken off, not to mention that "reality tv" is now being scripted! Not completely scripted, but they will tell the reality stars what to do. They have told the Bachelor which girl to choose, and things of that nature. It just sucks that we aren't really getting true reality, yet these people are not getting paid. The companies are getting filthy rich by not having to paid actors, but still scripting TV. No go, I'm quite over the reality TV craze.

You have a valid point. Not just Bachelor, but have you seen that show on A&E about Gene Simmons? It's totally staged. And just to protect my dignity, I do not watch that show, it is one of my sister's favorites. There, now I'm only mildy embarrassed.

I don't watch alot of television and have only seen a few of the survivor shows. I don't care for them. I don't think I would be capable of doing what they do for money.

I LOVE Reality tv but I also like series too. Like I cant stand to miss an episode of Greys anatomy or House! With reality though I can miss them and it not really bother me. So I guess I am just a tv junkie with everything!

When they first came out with reality tv, I found it interesting. The groups of people stuck on the dessert island, etc, (Survivor) and having to survive by their wits and all. Now it seems like they have reality tv on everything and anything, and it's become a big yawn. Some nights I don't watch tv at all because that's all the fare that's on there. I think it's probably going to run it's course as lots of people seem to be getting tired of it all.

OK, OK, I can finally get this off my chest. When reality TV first premiered, I scoffed. Heck, I mocked people who liked that stuff. Yet now (sigh), I am one of them. I don't really watch serial television. So here are the list of the reality shows I watch at least once or twice a month, if not all the time: Dog: the Bounty Hunter, Flipping Out, Dirty Jobs, Top Chef, Design Star, Project Runway, Ice Road Truckers, and Dancing with the Stars. Pheww! There, I confessed my sins. But really, I don't think we should count Dirty Jobs, it's educational...

i like reality shows because is a term for television shows based on a group of real people who are put in an unusual or dangerous situation,or given the chance to achieve an ambition.their experiences are shown live on television as entertainment.Reality TV often takes the form of a game,in which the viewers vote for people to leave the show until there is only one left.this person is the winner and receives a prize.

I love it. It shows real people and real life. Definitely better than acting though I must say that there are times and scenarios where acting is definitely better than reality shows.
