I have been a smoker of cigarettes and cigars interchangably for about 9 years now. I am desperately wanting to stop. Some days I don't smoke as much as others and I notice it's when I am busy, but how to you quit smoking when you have a lot of time on your hands.

I think you should try to reduce your sticks per day gradually. And stop hanging out with smokers because you will only be tempted. To lessen the urges to smoke, try jogging every morning.

that is so true. At my job sometimes I work with other people and sometimes I work by myself. On the days I work by myself and depending on my stress level, I'll smoke maybe 1 or 2 the whole shift, but when I'm with others that are heavier smokers than myself i tend to smoke more just to have something to do while they're smoking. Some days I do fine sitting out a couple smoke breaks and people encourage me, i go through ups and downs depending on my mood. I hope it won't be long til the day i am rid of this habit. thank you for your comment.
