All my pens are running out of ink!

Today I was trying to write a check to pay a bill and my pen ran out of ink. And, while I was rummaging around in the cabinet, I found an old bill I was supposed to pay. But, no pen! So, onto the other room I went and found a nice stash of pens. And, wouldn't you know it, none of those pens were working either. So, now I'm out of pens! Fortunately, I still have my computer notepad, so I can keep track of all my ideas. Guess it's time to stock up on pens again!
Have all your pens ran out of ink at the same time, leaving you with no pens in your house? What's the longest time you've ever gone without having a pen in your home? Did you stock up on pens the next time you went to the store just in case?

Well I think pens are a little bit like socks in a washing machine they go somewhere that we don't know about, I but pens and put them all around but sometimes when I need one I can't find them and then when you I do find one yes a lot of the time the ink has gone, I think they have minds of their own.

It's really frustrating when that happens. When you really need to write something down and all the pens you have don't seem to work, but when you don't need one you actually find a lot. *LOL*
I don't really stock up with pens. But I always make sure my bag has 1 or 2 which does work. I don't really buy ball-point pens, I'm more of a gel girl. I only use gel pens or sign pens. So I'm sure that when they don't write anymore it's because they have no more ink and not because their ink stiffed out on me. *LOL* Plus these things have refills, so whenever I buy a new one, I also buy a refill.

Hi there. No all my pens have not run out of ink, instead I have a 9 year old nephew that keeps taking the pens to make little shooting weapons... He snaps the pen in half, takes out the ink pipe with the spring attached and then aims and flings the lid off at the end of the ink pipe... So now we hide all the pens away...

I know thats happen to me a few times like when I wanted to write a phone number I would check every pen and most of them did not work I dont think it ran out of ink I think its because it got dried because we usally forget to put on our cap on most of the pens lol and its pretty annoying because I have to go up two flight of stairs just to find a pen lol.

Hah. There is never enough pens in my house! I'll scour high and low for one and then, like you, put pen to paper just to find out it doesn't work! This has to be one of the most petty yet annoying things ever. There seems to be a lot of pencils in my house, which is usually what I'll go for if I don't see a pen in the immediate area, but half the time they are broken! And I just hate that feelin you get when you try to write with a broken pencil. It's like when someone scratches a blackboard with nails. Urghh, I shudder at just the thought.
Another annoying thing that seems to happen with me and pens is leaks. At school, I'll put a pen in my inside blazer pocket (yes, UK uniform regulations:o) and end up with a massive leak by the end of the day. I don't know wheater it's because the school can't actually afford to pay a decent amount for the pens they sell or it's because I'm just unlucky. Anyhow, that can be a right pain the preverbial backside.

Hahaha This is too funny. Pens only run out of ink when you actually need them. They never run out of ink if you're bored and doodling in the margains of a notebook, but if you need to write a check, pay a bill that's almost due or overdue, reach for a pen, and I guarentee you it'll be out of ink.

Nope, I'm quite well stocked stationary wise so i seldom run out of pens either in the office or at home.
however I've been in situations where I'm outside and only have one pen on me, and am called upon to take down some important notes.
the running joke amongst my colleagues is that we should then bite our finger and write with blood. haha just kidding.
