Are You Happy?

" Are You Happy?" I asked my friends and relatives around me oneday. "No." most of them answered. Then they complained that living expenses were skyrocketting and their salaries were low and lucky things never occured on them. I am a little disappointed to have these answers. Do you have the same answers as theirs? In my opinion, happiness isn't about what happens to us ; it's about how we perceive what happens to us. It's the knack of finding a positive for every negative, and viewing a set-back as a challenge. Happiness is not about wishing for something we don't have , but enjoying what we own.

I believe I am happy for the most part. I think we all have our downfalls now and then, but I agree we have to think of these as challenges. "What doesn't kill us will make us stronger!" I have been having a lot of struggles lately and have been trying to keep my head up, it can be tough at times. I think I just pulled through one of the hardest times of my life and am finally getting back to where I need to be. One thing that helps me be stronger is to look at others who are less fortunate and realize how good I have it compared to what it could be.

Sunlights are always after rains and winds. We should thank God that we live in a peaceful and economy- growing environment and have many wonderful things to enjoy!

Happiness is all in our mindset. In a book called Sai Sat Charita, which is about a saint Shirdi ke Sai Baba, a story comes. A servant maid girl will be singing a happy song while doing the house chores. After seeing this, a guest of that house recommends a good dress for her. She wears that dress next day and will again be happily singing and doing the work. The third day, she keeps the good dress at home, wears the same old rags and will be singing the merriful songs while working. Whether she is wearing new dress or old dress, her mental condition does not see any difference and will be singing the happy songs. I try to be like this but sometimes, I feel greedy people are getting more money, cheeky people are getting good life and I deserve better life. But again I change my attitude. After all I am human being.
