Discovered Another Great Website For Pets

Sometime ago, I started a discussion about a great place for cat owners to make a website of their kitties...now thanks wholeheartedly to jeweledbluerose, she introduced me to another place known as catster.com and for you dog owners there's a dogster.com as well

Also, the great thing is one doesn't necessarily have to post or create a website for the pets one owns now, but one can create a tribute page for those who have gone on before.
I plan to add more pages as tributes of my beloved cats now in Rainbow Bridge, so far only did one.
Here are my pages of kitties so far...I did some special effects for the background and tweaked a bit here and there to customize my pages.

Oh pyewacket, I just visited your Catster pages and the kitties are so beautiful! You ladies are beginning to make me feel left out. I really do want a cat of my own. Any suggestions would be helpful. The pages were beautifully laid out.

I have often believed that if you pick the right one, it can help with bouts of depression. When I was a child I would go through stages of depression, my parents got me my first kitten at the age of eight and after that moment you would think there wasn't a thing wrong with me ever.
Taking care of the kitten kept my mind occupied, plus it brought a certain kind of laughter into my life as well. Ever since I have kept cats as a companion animal, they have been a blessing in my life, if not for them, I would most likely be a total disaster today. But you do whatever you feel comfortable with doing.

None of the above, pyewacket. I am just not sure I will be stable enough to own a pet. I do go into depressions sometimes. I have discussed getting a kitty with my apartment manager and she gave the go-ahead. I will just have to put down a deposit(which I wouldn't mind). I suppose it would be best to start off with a smalll one.

Why can't you have a kitty? Are you allergic? To be honest, even if I were allergic I'd still have my kitties...One of the pet rescuers who took in a lot of my cats last year believe it or not is allergic to cats..but she still loves them anyway--along with the dogs, rabbits, ferrets, and ponies she has

Glad to hear that you are enjoying Catster. :) I've been having fun there, though still figuring out how to customize the pages. Want to figure that out before I start adding my other cats on there.

Thank you jeweledbluerose...I'm having a lot of fun there and added two more of my rainbow bridge kitties there, Tommy and Mickey...One of the people who requested my kitties be friends with their's when I e-mailed me gave me the lowdown on how to customize the pages--

That is a good place to start..but you can also go to

(think that's the right) and you'll have a lot more opinions...then you just copy the html/css codes that are given and paste into the profile page of your kitty--Like yikes if I can do it anyone can..sure wish I could do that on my profile page here ...at least for the backgrounds

Thanks Pye! :) Now me has something more to play with, and I'm sure Skyebye will be right there to help me pick a layout for her page, and most likely the layout for the rest of the family of cats too..lol!

Those are really cute sites Pye.

Thanks for that information my friend. I haven't got time to look at it now, because it's the middle of the week, and I'm always too busy wth work to play around on the Internet, - but once the weekend comes and I have more time, I will investigate further. Thanks.

That is so cool! I'll have to bookmark that and play with it when I've got some time.
Do you think giving her, her own page will make her want to behave more? I don't think so either but it was worth a shot!

lol there goes that wish! Wow 3, that's so sweet. She only behaves when it interest her. Like today I had a pork tenderloin in the crockpot all afternoon and she kept coming upstairs insisting that I follow her downstairs and to it so I could check on it. Oddly enough the times she did it, I had forgotten about the roast and it was starting to dry. In the end it turned out great and she ate a tiny piece and loved it, lol. However she was turned off by the bbq sauce, lol, silly kitty.

what a great site,and you did a awesome job.i love the butterflies in the back ground.your cats are great.thats a beautiful thing you have done there,and its shows how much of a loving person you are and to your cats.i admire this.i like the idea.thanks for sharing this.
