just make her stop doing what she is doing and make real contact with her, face to face! and tell her with simple words what you want and why! at that age kids are only bizzy with themselves, they don't understand everything we do and say, and why we do that! my daughter becomes 3 next week, and doesn't listen very often. i use the hallway and warn her 2 times, the third one she must go there and must stay there for two minutes. can she hear you good? sometimes kids on this age have hearingproblems!

One thing you have to remember with little ones like this is that they have very short attention spans. My son will be two August 16 and he has a horrible time staying out of trouble because he forgets what he is told very quickly. He also doesn't stay focused on any toy or book for very long either. It is just how much their poor little brains can hold at once. At that age it is not very much at all. I know it is rough right now but I don't think there is much you can do about it. Hang in there and know that you are not the only one going through this right now. My son is also telling us no all the time now. He generally does what we need him to but his answer to everything is no. Hopefully this is just a stage as well.

This is pretty normal behavior for a one year old. You need to redirect her to an activity you want her to do. the attention span is quite short at this point and only with patience will she learn. She is very young and exploring her new world, she will learn what is ok by watching. Good luck, it seems like they are not listening but at this age they are just trying out new things.
