How strict you are about eating on-time?

I think it is always right.... eating on the right time. Here in Philippines, we eat three times a day. I wonder if the people in other countries are like that. How often you eat is not my point here... I just want to know your opinion(s)/idea(s) about eating on the right time. Do you eat on-time?

Yes I think being consistent with time for meals helps for planning the day and making the most of it. At least that is my logic for serving the kids meals the same time everyday. They know at what time meals are, and when to plan around them. For instance they know they can go swimming before 6 PM, since that is the time for dinner. However after that time, I won't let them for an hour. So they can plan an out of the pool activity for an hour ahead of time.

I agree, I have not thought about this (consistent time for meals and the planning thing - for family), so, thanks for sharing. ~mar

i don't think i follow a "right-time" kind of deal. we eat breakfast when we get up, when we're hungry for it...same with lunch, kind of midday i suppose, and i make dinner so it's ready for when my hubby gets home from work, which varies sometimes, so it's not the same EVERY night. sometimes, if we're hungry there are snacks thru the day. but i try to make those snacks fruit, or something. light and healthy if possible. i think, in my household here in the US anyway, we eat when we're hungry really. not set times necessarily. now when my hubby is at work, they have a schedule, and breaks and lunch are scheduled. once my son goes to school it will be scheduled...but at home, it's sorta whenever really!

I am thinking about this... I am like that really. Usually I wake up at 6:00 am and I don't eat 'til I'm hungry. I have breakfast at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm is my lunchtime. I work at night and that is the main reason. ~mar

I always try to keep myself to take meals on time. This is a good habit that I had been cultivated since young. Is is believed that to take meals at regular time would be good for our health especially to avoid gastric disorders. In view of this I always try to discipline myself so as to take meals on time strictly all the while even though I'm on vacation outside or going for a long journey drive.

When I am working (in an office), I tend to eat on time because I need to have breakfast before going to work and there is a fixed lunch time. But during the weekends, I eat according to my own schedule and there wouldn't be fixed time for my meals. I eat whenever I feel hungry and I tend to eat two meals only during my holidays or weekends. I indeed feel better eating according to my own diary and how I feel. I wouldn't feel very "stuffed".
