Would you eat sushi at any place?

I mean, would you eat sushi in a city you don't know, just entering the sushi bar and eating it, without knowing anything about the place? I am kind of afraid because we are dealing with raw food and it is fish. It can be dangerous if it is now well prepared. How about you?

I think I would eat sushi in a city i didn't know. I mean we are talking about an entire city here. lol I would be more concerned with the individual store than I would the city the shop was in. I've noticed that a lot of places I've been to for sushi more than half were just lousy and not because I was concerned for the freshness, or that I would get sick from eating it ... it's just that it was made in a way I found unappealing. They added ingredients that I didn't like, or it was prepared in a way I didn't like. So far *fingers crossed* I've never gotten sick from sushi - if I had been, I may have answered this differently!

I would eat sushi anywhere because I only eat one kind of sushi and it is cooked. Anything that isn't cooked I don't eat so I would have no probel eating the sushi some where else.

If the place is open for business and they have a lot of traffic, I'd say it's safe. If they had issues with food safety or complaints, the place would be empty or at the very least, you'd see only a handful of people there. I'm not a huge fan of sushi but it is served at some of the places that I frequent. When I do eat it, I only eat the ones that are prepared right there in front of me.

I think if it looked good, smelled good, and seemed fresh, I would eat sushi from just about anyplace! Sushi prepared at a nice restaurant IS better than a takeout place or the supermarket... but it's a food I like so much I can enjoy it even if it's low quality. Plus, my philosophy when it comes to food is, if it looks clean, I will eat it. Even though there may be something wrong with it, I doubt I would die from anything that could be contaminating the food. So if I can't see a problem, I don't worry about it. Though, that might be dangerous if anyone is every trying to poison me one day...
