Poison Ivy Update

Yesterday I posted about my son's poison ivy and wondered if anyone else had ever had such a bad case that they needed to go to the doctor. Well, I took my son to the doctor, who was surprised at how bad the rash was. He gave my son Prednisone to help stop the rash, and Zyrtec to stop the itching. He said this will usually show improvement in 3 days, but for my son it may take a week. I really hate that he has this right now, because school is starting tomorrow. Do you have a poison ivy story?

One of the guys I work with,had only indirect contact with poison ivy, he brushed against somoene else's clothing. After 4 days, he went to the ER, all swollen up from head to toe, then lost a week of work.
