what would you give up to save someone? tv,phone, internet

What if somehow - giving up some technological toy would save your child, bestfriend, lover? What are you most attached to- your cell phone, computer, tv, xbox - could you give up what you're most attached to?

I could easily give up all of the above - without question - to save someone I cared about. I would be truly shocked to hear someone say they couldn't give up their xbox to save their child. Shocked and disgusted.
