flowers or chocolates?

flowers and chocolates - Flowers are an important gift item in modern society. They are suitable as gifts on a variety of occasions - Birthday, Graduation Day, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, to name a few. One thing that is worth keeping in mind while presenting or receiving flowers as gifts is the meaning associated with different flowers. These meanings came to be conventionally accepted and seem to vary from culture to culture. In the western culture, there are some standard meanings associated with different flowers. The convention of associating meanings with flowers has been systematized and is not talked of as the language of flowers.

Do you prefer to receive flowers from someone (a lover, an admirer, or a friend), or chocolates? Both would be great hehe. chocolates are edible. that makes it great. haha! Flowers are sweet even if it's sugar-free. hehe. Nowadays, there are already chocolates that are formed into shapes of flowers. It's like a bouquet of chocolates. hehe. very nice! my boyfriend usually gives me flowers. i kept the dried petals and placed it in a vase. i added some designs and i placed it in my room so that everytime i see it, it will remind me of him. =)

Well since I am on a doctor restricted diet and cannot have chocolate or very rarely. Though I love to eat it. I would have to say flowers so as not to be tempted to pig out on the forbidden but all to alluring and delicious chocolate.

I love both, chocolates and flowers. My husband always gives me both. And I prefer to receive both. If the guy will only give me either chocolates or flowers, I would gladly accept it, of course it depends on his budget and it doesn't make any difference anyway. But if he's going to give me both..it would be best! *smiles* thanks..take care. cheers!:D

If I had to choose, I would pick chocolates. My favorite flower is hard to find and they would die anyway. But with chocolates they are meant to disappear.Besides they are sweet.

Flowers are really nice. It shows of beauty and would make anyone feel special. Chocolates are sweet, and it's especially great if shared by the giver and the receiver or with friends. I would prefer to have both. Hahahha.. Ok, I'll follow the rules. I'd rather have chocolates. And share the pieces with him. *LOL* But flowers are nice too. Though flowers and chocolates are both nice. No matter how nice they are, if you don't really like the person who gave it to you, they are not as nice as if these were given by the person we love. =)

well between flowers n choco, i would prolly like to get choco, but over all, i would prefer a nice piece of sterling silver jewllery...do the math, by the time you buy a bouquet of flowers or a fine box of chocos, you might as well spend $30- on a nice ring or necklace...it lasts longer than both choco or flowers!

I think I will go with the Chocolates, rather than the Flowers. But I believe most of the Females will love to receive Flowers, but Men like me will prefer Chocolates than the Flowers. Whatever it is, I always dont look at the content of the gift, but just look at the love with which it was given to me.

Neither, while it's a nice gesture and I do appreciate either one. I prefer something of more originality - like a cd of their favorite songs.A book, they loved as a child or as an adult.
