My computer had been infected by the nasty COOLPICS virus. To all of us who have been victimized by this virus, I'm sure we are all too familiar with what it can do to our PC so I'm not gonna go into details with that. I'm just gonna go straight on how I successfully remove it. I down loaded the anti spyware WinPatrol from www.download.com; the latest, free version did the job. After installation, go to the ACTIVE TASK tab in WinPatrol, click the virus from there - and all other malwares - and then click remove. It should remove the virus from your PC. After that, go to the drives in your PC where that virus resides and delete it from there. If all is successful, the virus should not come back from where you deleted it and all programs that were disabled by that virus should be fix. If you have problems running WinPatrol, or removing malwares from your PC by it, send me a personnal message; or post your querries here. I'll be glad to help you. Keep safety!

Thanks Ricko82 for sharing this information. It would be of great help and benefit to other members who are currently experiencing the same problem. You can also check this link, which I think may also help remove the virus. www.geekstogo.com/forum/How-to-remove-coolpics-com-hijacker-t137346.html

Thanks for the information you shared with us. I also usually download software or such things from www.download.com To get rid of spyware you need a anti spyware and to get rid from malware you need a anti virus full version. Nowdays some antivirus comes with all packages such as antivirus, antispyware, antimalware, etc.
