Is time to buy a new car!

I'm planning on buying a brand new
Toyota Rav4 because I'm in love with
this car. My car is already super old
and it about time to buy a new one.
I think is a good investment because
it does not consume a great deal of gas.
How much do you guys think I can offer
the dealer for a 2007 toyota Rav4?
Do you think $20,000 is a good offer or can
I go lower? Anyone has experience dealing
with dealers?

Mirita,There is a site on the web where you could look up the value of the car that your interested in and find it's value before you ever approach a dealer.What you need is it's "Blue Book" value.At the site you may plug in any options that you want for the car as well and it will calculate the retail value for you.You may even want to print it out before you attempt to purchase from a dealer and use it as a form of leverage when negotiating a price.
