crazy late night binge

Sheesh--I have been really good about watching my calories and always creating a calorie deficit. I make sure that I burn at least 500 more calories than I consume, and that way I lose a pound a week. This system works real well, and I have lost 25 pounds since this spring. (woo hoo!) But damn, last night after midnight, I don't know what happened, I ate a whole bunch. 1030 calories worth of food! Can you believe it? So now today, I have to count those as calories I've already eaten, so I have to seriously burn a bunch of calories because I want to have chinese food today too. So, I need to burn at least 2700 calories. I think I am going to take a really long walk. =)

I do the same thing (count calories and try for a 500 calorie deficit a day.) When I first started eating less I would be so hungry at night, I would want to eat everything. Sometimes I would binge, but then it started happening less and less. Now I am rarely hungry and I just eat what I know I need to be healthy. I am glad about that. I realize you are not just starting your diet or anything and you said you hadn't eaten enough that day, but I tried to stay on topic! lol

yeah, i am ok. I just got back from a 4-mile walk, so that helped burn off a bunch of calories. If I can stay on track for the rest of the day, then I will have a deficit, not as big as I would like, but I figure a deficit is always better than a surplus!

Eat small steady meals. It really works and kepp it low gi. Stops the binging and keeps you looking young too.

I know how you all feel :) I'm 5;9 and weighed about 210 pounds! ALl i did everys ingle day was binge on something that was fattening. For abotu 1 month and 10 days I have been dieting baically eating one little meal a day and excerisiing and I've lost 25 pounds! At that rate I'll be down to 160 easily. That's my goal. But i have to say I look real slim at 185. You have to remember to treat yourself also. Go have those cheeseburgers from Mcdonald's but make sure to eat them before 8 in the night. and if you can go take a walk afterwards or the next morning that could keep you from gaining any extra weight. I admit to the original topic starter you look good as is :)and fine if I might add. I'm 10 years younger than you but you look dang good. Hoping all your diets keep working and you stic with it and not start eating like crazy again Good Luck all :)

haha, well thanks for those compliments, I really appreciate them! I have been doing better at controlling my eating and I have now lost 34 pounds and counting since I started changing my eating and activity habits around March of this year (2007). I now weigh 135 pounds and I started off weighing 169. I would like to eventually weigh 120 pounds. I want to weigh 133 pounds by the 24th of this month, that is my goal. I think I have been doing pretty good. I will do calculations tomorrow as to what my daily caloric deficit needs to be in order to reach this goal. (I re-set the daily caloric deficit each week).
