Hi. computers have definitely affected my life n a positive way. Now I can manage my files and documents much more efficiently and work more speedily as well. it is a great entertainer as well and now a days keeping in touch with friends is easily through the internet than anything else. I see only one thing one the other side of this coin: electricity bill.

i would suggest that you get a laptop.it consumes less electricity rather than having a desktop pc running the whole day, it's like having your tv on.

everyone is unanimously saying that there are pros and cons. i would like to delve on the cons of the issue. i would say it became complicated to most people, i said most because reality is that there are only few of us who makes use of the computer as a tool.how about other people who does not need it,prsonally.yeah, correct, whether they like it or not , it has somehow eased their lives when it comes to communication and information but how about their everyday lives? most people have made a choice that IT is not for them. personally, at times i blame technology for my stress, it has increased! time, i thought with the easier facilitation of info an data , i would save time.yeah, it saved me time to do more things and everyone is expecting me to speed it up!i mean real time for myself. We should not be always be dependent on technology , though we cannot escape it ,we are all in its database, nothing i can do about it.Most of us have forgotten what is it really means to be living and not just surviving.yes, we do interact but are we really? It has complicated a lot of things in the long run.Life is not as easy as how it use to, life then were a lot simplier, quiet and have more fun time which we call "Living", now , it's a matter of Survival.

ya you certainly make sense.i feel the same.we developed technology to make our lives better.in that sense it should be our slave.but in the process we have become its slave and we have so much dependent on this technology that we even denying to imagine our lives without it.and we have forgotten the real meaning of interaction with people.

I have worked with people who have a range of computer ablities. Many people who complain about computer do no understand how computer work or how to use the programs. Too many people feel that computers can solve any problem. Must of this can be blamed on TV and the Movies. A person sits at a key board and types a few things and the problem is solved. Using a spread sheet I set up an attendance program that would record two sets of data at once. You had to use numbers and letters in recording the attendanced. When a person decided that they liked using an "x" (COUNTA) instead of "1" (SUM)to record sets of data, they could not understand why they got bad data. Their answer was just tell the computer to correct it. The computer has made life more difficult for people who don't want to learn how to use the computer. To me the computer has made lifeeasier and has been given a great tool to use. I love using the computer but can live with out it, but my life would be more complicated.

what you said is certainly true.it makes life complicated for those who don't want to learn it.its surely a great tool and it makes our lives a lot easier if we know how to handle it properly and get our work done out of it.but otherwise we can also live without it.

Computershave surely made our lives less complicated, and have brought the entire word to our doorstep or rather desktop. Imagine spending an entire day at home, an yet you might still be the busiest person in the world, manipulating your business deals online or doing some much needed shopping for your weekly victuals. At the same time you can enjoy the worldwide news, or maybe even take some time-out by listening to music or enjoying videos online.

Well life does seem more interesting and easy after computers but it also takes away my time that I previously used for reading and speaking with friends. So any new thing has both plus and minus points but on the whole it is very useful.

i agree dbhattji it has made our life easier but it has taken the charm of living and leading a life.as you said we have forgotten to pursue our hobbies like reading and even talking with somebody.we don't like spending time with people or family members or interacting with them.we just hook onto the pc whenever we find any spare time.

There are always two sides of the coin. Advantages and disadvantages. Advantages: 1. Easy to remember dates, appointments and details. 2. Could easily contact people no matter where they are in the world. 3. Businesses have become easier to handle (just imagine if until now cashiers use the manual input of prices ~ imagine if it's a sale-day!) *LOL*. 4. Faster accounting system for check and balancing. 5. Medical world has far better knowledge now about the human body because of computers. etc. Disadvantages: 1. We can't remember on our own the dates and important details we used to remember all the time. 2. People have slowly forgotten how to write. (Don't you now feel wobbly when you need to write something down? As compared before we could write pages of manuscripts). 3. We can't compute on our own, no matter how simple we need calculators. 4. We don't give the effort to go to our friend/family members to talk to them, we just send them an impersonal email to say Hi. 5. Constant upgrades has caught us to buy things we don't really need (higher memories, upgrades, gadgets and for what? to send emails? *LOL*) etc. There are a lot more, but sad to say, I am no longer used to typing this much, my fingers hurt. *LOL* =)

My computer has made my life 100% less complicated. As a writer, I am able to efficintly get my work done. I am able to keep track of everything, to communicate with people world wide, and to persue my own interests, all with the help of my computer. I love my computer, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!

I would say that it has affected me in a very positive way and some areas were definitely made into simpler forms. But just like any other technology, it also open us into other worlds which have not been possible in the past. And in that sense, it could likewise make life more complicated. Just like any other technology, the computers are bringing both simplification and simplification.

Computers definitely affected our lives, most positively and some negatively. Let's start from the 'dedicated computers' section - like for example calculator, washing machine, microwave, electric oven - these all have a 'dedicated computer' in them which are pre-programmed to do certain things only. I think everyone likes to shove the clothes in the washing machine, choose the program and let the computer take care of filling the machine with water, washing the clothes etc. and while you're doing something else that you like! :) The same applies for the microwave and electric oven - insert food, choose program and let it cook for you while you do other work or something that you like... I think it definitely helped us out, but maybe made us lazier? Now let's take the normal desktop computer / laptop which is a multi function computer... As they say for computers - garbage in garbage out. And I agree with this as it all depends on the user. One person could use it to create something good for his life, others can use it to 'waste' their time... But overall, in my life I think that computers helped me positively... :)

with the computer,we can do a lot of things that we can't do in the old days.wen can use computer to do with difficult problem, watch films, play game, listen to the music, and so on.the internet makes computer more useful, people can use computer conveniently to connect with each other.from this side, computer makes our life less complicated.but while the computer came to our life, the virus came too.we must deal with the virus .sometimes,we must protect our computer from the attact of hacker.from that side computer makes our life more complicated.

yes i do agree you there are pros and cons of computers but in general i think they make orr life less complicated, you can consider the examples of railway ticket counters and heavy machine controlings.
