What type of lunch do you send to work with your spouse?

When my spouse was working full time, seven days a week, I would go way out of my way to send a home cooked meal with him every day. Sometimes these meals were so elaborate that they took hours to prepare and many storage containers to transport. Most times they weren't simple sandwich style meals, since he worked the night shift and would need something more substantial. And, often times he really enjoyed the meals. Or, at least that's what he told me. I'm sure he was just being polite, but it was still nice to hear. But, now that he's not working as often he eats most of his meals at home, it's easier to just send a sandwich and be done with the entire matter. Often he eats out, even though that's not healthy. But, how can you stop someone from feeding themselves if they are really hungry. And, after all, I wouldn't deny him food, if he really needed it. But, most times I still like to send a small dish of home cooked food along with him, whenever I can. It's just my little way of supporting him, as he supports our family. So, what type or lunch or dinner do you send to work with your spouse? Do you use cold cuts for sandwiches? Or, do you spend time cooking traditional home style food that he or she eats at work?

This is really nice that you do this- I don’t send lunch in- he makes it- he takes sandwiches- I work too and take my own also- I think it works better this way- Sure if he is running late- I’ll make his lunch for him- but it’s only sandwiches or leftovers- He likes a small lunch and makes up for it a dinner-

My husband never brings food to work. He likes to eat outside. Here men feels like eating outside rather than staying in the office to have lunch.

Some days he takes sandwiches, other times it will be soup or leftovers from the night before. He will also take fruit, some baked treats, some trail mix or other thing he can munch on, and a drink.

My husband doesn't like homemade lunches LOL I suggested I make him sandwiches to take with him but he doesn't like that LOL nobody in his team brings their lunch so he prefers to dine out with them at lunch time. Can become costly too lol

Leftovers. Just about every night he takes what we had for dinner to work. He works overnights so instead of eating dinner..with us....I pack it and he takes it to work with him! So he gets some pretty good lunches, LOL

I used to do leftovers from the previous night but he frames houses so a lot of times a microwave isn't convienient for him. So now...it's mostly sandwiches, chips, little boxes of raisins or some other fruit. Some days he eats out but he feels much better when he takes his lunch as opposed to eating at a fast food restaraunt.

Hi beautyqueen26! My hubby prefers to go home for lunch and eat with me but if he does not have the time, he ususally eat out. However he always asked me to prepare sandwiches for him to bring to work. So I prepare him different sandwiches each day. I use cold cuts too. Have a nice day and take care!
