We are thinking of selling our home and have had several realators come out and look at it. It seems to me that the would be receiving about $18,000 as a commission. So I say why not sell it by owner and keep the money myself, any advise? I heard there is a website that allows you print the sales agreement for free, just need a web address.

I say bravo to you! :) Sale By Owner rally is the way to go these days... It's always best to try and keep as much of your own money as possible... there are so many unscrupulous characters that want a piece of your action that it's almost immpossible to separate the Good From The Bad... Great and entertaining discussion for sure! Here's a free real estate tool: http://www.zillow.com Enjoy your day! :)

Yeah, it's like MyLot for Homes! LOL! :) Zillow really just started this year and I think that it's totally great... You can browse homes and prices all over the country for comparisons and even but or sell your own home right on the site for free. It's a boon for me 'cuz I'm browsing homesites to build on... much easier that driving all over the country! :)

I would say that it is better to sell by owner and keep the commission for your self. Most people dont have the time to show the house and have an open house, so they hire a realitor to do it and loose alot of the profits.

Thank you for your advice. Maybe I should try selling myself and if it doesn't work after 90 days, than give a realtor a try.
