Today its 30 years since the king ELVIS ARON PRESLEY died. I was in UN service in Cyprus at that time, when I turn on the radio this morning 30 years ago and heard this news that elivis was dead, I fel so empty Hi was my favorite artist all time. I play his record all the time I cant stop listning to him. After the news the say that they will play onle music with Elvis for the next 24 houers and thats was greate. What did you do when you hear that Elvis was dead? And what did the radistations you listen to do? Maybe you dont remeber all this but for me it was a wery sad day. One of my favorite songs with Elvis are DONT CRY DADY but he has made so many realy god songs, And I am hapy to hawe almost every one that hi has done, I also get his first record that he pay buy him self to make and dedicated to his mother. Tell me what you think of this greate artist.

Hi Matte, I was a teenager that year. I don't remember too much about it. I do like his songs, he was a great singer..I like his song, "In the Ghetto." That was a very sad day for alot of people..

Well, I was 9 back then and remember little if nothing at all, since in Italy wasn't that much of a piece of news....I became one of his fans years later, so I have no recollections of the first years when he was gone... One thing I can tell you for sure: I wish I could have gone to Graceland yesterday to feel all the love that people feel towards Elvis...!

Wow, you did UN service? That's pretty cool. My friend's husband is crazy about Elvis and he watched an Elvis movie marathon yesterday. He now has their 7 year old son liking Elvis and I think that's kinda cool because he has brought Elvis to another generation. Elvis is an icon. When I was in marching band in high school, our featured show for one season was all Elvis songs. It was so much fun. I like looking at pictures of him because he seemed larger than life, ya know? My grandma tells me stories about watching him on television with her sisters and seeing girls fainting. I would like to go back in time for a day and live in the 50s. I would go see Elvis perform, just so I could experience the phenomenon myself.
