I know there alot of people out there that suffer from the same or have worse illnesses.I know for me that without counseling and medication,I'm not sure where I would have ended up.It's important to realize that your not alone with it.

My children call me Monk all the time. I am not as bad as him in some aspects but he is doing one thing I have not been able to do too much and that is getting out of the house. I can walk across the street to my neighbors and drive around the corner to pick my daughter up from work (as long as I don't have to wait). My issue is waiting and going too far from home. I think I would be doing a lot better if we were not struggling financially because I would not be too concerned about saving gas so my fiance can get to and from work. Medication does help with my depression and some anxiety, but until I am able to venture out more I truly will not know how much better my anxiety is getting. I push forward each day and I wish it was as easy as "just getting over it".

Yes, you are not alone, and we are not alone. God is always with us, we just don't realize. Whatever you suffer from, have faith in Him. Talk to Him in prayer and read the Holy Bible for He talks to us thru the Holy Bible so that we may know His will. Our life here on earth is just temporary, and we do not end up the same way. Let's be patient and face whatever, hopin in Him. May God bless you.

There is no "cure" for psychological disorders. For chemical imbalances, there are medications that can treat it to even them out. For everything else, the bottom line is "get over it", usually through extensive therapy, that that's still the bottom line. I simply choose to live with it becuae at this point I concider it to be a part of myself and I don't really want to change it. It doesn't effect my life too terribly bad so it's not a big problem so it's not a big deal.

I assume you are OCD and that is why you put this in Monk. Medication and counselling is important with any condition. I found that anti-depressants help (I am not OCD but do have a long term pain condition).
