What is the longest time you have been unemployed?

3 months- fresh out of high school in 1986 I took the summer off (dishwasher at a chinese restraunt my junior and senior year) I've been working ever since, sometimes even 2 full time jobs, 80 hrs a week...

Going on 11 yrs now, just another 20 yrs and I can retire at the age of 54

I was unemployed for 15 to 18 days during which time, I was able to equip myself for a new job.

About 10 years...was a stay at home mom...got real boring. Wouldn't want to do that again...I like being busy.

its been 3 years now..im a sahm and we are in the military so we are always moving..

I am a stay at home mom.. I didn't work for about 3 yrs.. got a job and worked about a year and then stopped due to medical reasons for my child and myself. I have not been working for about 4 mths now.

I Sub at the school but before doing that, I hadn't worked for 8 yrs. Got pregnant with my oldest and stayed home with him.

I was laid off during the time when everyone was having a hard time finding a job, about 6 or 7 years ago. I was unemployed for close to a year. During this time I was also on disability for awhile because I had to have surgery. I became pretty desperate when my unemployment actually ran out and I found out I could not get an extension. After going to 6 different temp agencies I landed a job. What a relief!

It was 3 months for me

i never experience it as i am still a student

It was 1 year for me but during the time I went back to school to become a certafide home health aide.
