Shop lifting

What step you will take if your son caught for shop lifting of steel ring?By the way it is first time happend.Any suggestion for son who is 20 years old.

i guess tough love is the best...have you ever heard of scared straight? Its not a program or anything, but i have heard of something like that where they take kids to a city morgue or jail to show them what the results of crime are...maybe thats what he needs?

if he is 20 then he is a grown man.
what can you really do for punishment to a 20 yr old?
he is not a child.
the only thing you can do is tell him how you feel about it and you wish he would be more responsible, act his age.
