Angry ants alert!

The other week it stormed so bad, that the rain built up in our back yard several inches. And, for some reason, that day our little kid wanted to go outside. So, after the rain subsided and the grass dried up a bit, we all went outside. And, for a couple minutes things went just fine. But, then I felt a very sharp bite on the top of my foot under my sandal strap. And, then another one. And, as I looked at my feet, I could see ants crawling up over my sandals and onto my feet. They were everywhere. They were on the ground, my shoes and everything in sight. Of course we scooped her up and ran back inside. We were lucky, she didn't even get one ant bite. But, my feet hurt for a week! I'm never again going outside so soon after a rain storm. This is the first time I've ever experienced an ant attack after a rain storm. And, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that there seems to be more ants out after a rain storm. Why are the ants so angry and ready to attack after a rain storm?

Maybe its because they were strucked by so much rain they were so angry. So maybe they are more sensitive and angry. Once it rain so much, their home are destroyed by the rain that is why they are on the grounds. There was nowhere to hide so they have to survive the pouring rain. Maybe you have to be careful with your daughter becaus ethe bite of an angry ant is really painful.
