If you were fired from your job today...

Pretend for a minute that you were fired from your job today and banned from working in your entire industry. Would you be able to take the skills and education you already have and get a job in another industry that pays about as well as your current job? Most of my current "employable" skills include web programming, HTML, word processing and typing, so if I decided to get a job that wasn't based on the Internet, it would definitely have to be in that industry. I'm also pretty good at customer service and dealing with people, so I'd most likely end up working in a cubicle in the corporate world. Just as fine with me. And if I got fired, I wouldn't have too many other options employment wise, so I wouldn't want to lose a job! How about you? If you got fired, would you be able to find a comparable job in an alternate industry? Or, would you have to go back to school for retraining?

I am trained and skilled in several several different areas so i think i would be able to find something suitable in another industry. If not, then I will have not problem in going back to school and getting retrained or learning new skills. I don't think I could ever get fired from being a stay at home mom though unless my husband and son disowned me LOL
