Have you been to Europe?

In a couple of weeks I'll be traveling to Europe -- specifically, The Netherlands. I'm a first time traveler and would love to hear some tips for amateur international travelers like me. Will hope for your response on this.

I have been to Holland whilst touring Europe and I also spent a few months there studying when I did my degree. Cycling is a very popular activity there and there are safe tracks almost everywhere for this. The Dutch people are very friendly and most of them speak excellent English. Amsterdam is a very exciting city. It has some wonderful museums like Anne Frank's House. It had some gorgeous looking canals you can go walking along. I will try to write more later as my baby has just woken up.

Yes, as I was justing Rotterdam is a huge port that is of some interest. Delft is a pretty little town where famous pottery is made. I liked the villages with charming looking windmills and the scvenic looking very flat countryside.

For sure, I'll enjoy my trip knowing I'll be visiting a country so new to me. Can you tell me more? It seems that you are well emersed in the Dutch culture since you can tell many things about them. By the way, if your in rotterdam, what place can I possibly visit?

Hi rubenenlicera! I have travelled to some other countries before and the last one I have been to is the United Kingdom. Travel light, which means that you don't have to bring your whole wardrobe(which I am guilty of. haha..), have a body bag or a small bag that is strapped infront of you where you can safely keep your money and passport, and always have a map with you which you can always find in the airport. I guess somhow this helps. Have a nice and safe trip. Take care and Enjoy!

I have not been to Europe for vacation, I live in The Netherlands haha. Was born and raised here, to tell you the truth I can't really understand why tourist come to Holland, we all think it is so boring here and the weather is always cold haha. Where in the Netherlands are you planning to go to?

Hi Mistissa! I'll be in Holland for a training which will be conducted by CBI. Many friends who had been in Holland said that the country's culture is overwhelmingly colorful. Is it true that 40% of Netherlands is below sea level? Hope to see you when I visit netherlands. Are you a pure-bred Dutch? Hope to hear from you again.
