Are you comfortable while delivering lecture?

I was rather nervous when I was told to deliver a lecture in our club function before Independence day ( Aug 15). But I prepared well few points and finally delivered it before a jump-packed audience. I am happy to say that it ended up nicely. I followed few basics which I would like to share with you. 1. I prepared well. 2. I wrote a draft also 3. While delivering, I did not care about the top bosses sitting before me. 4. I kept myself relaxed by gossiping before delivering the lecture. So, if anyone has to address an audience, please do not get nervous. Its not that difficult to keep the audience silent by your speeches.

Good for you!! Sounds like you handled it really well. I don't get nervous before presentations in front of a crowd anymore. (I did when I was younger though.) It's natural to be a little nervous because all eyes are upon you, but those thoughts don't have to rule you unless you choose to let them. They're quiet not because they're judging you, but because they're listening to what you have to say and are being respectful. As long as you're prepared and have notes it usually goes well.

Yes. That's exactly how I felt after the test was over.

I am always nervous when I go to deliver a lecture onstage. Actually I have stage fear. So however well prepared I am, I dont feel enough confident. So I feel terribly nervous when I am onstage infront of so many people.

This was the first occasion in which I delivered and I do not consider myself as stage free either. Still I followed few basics as I have told earlier. I think it will help you a lot.
