What do you prefer - hot or cold?

I think I prefer cold - not too cold. Although I can take heat during the day - I don't like to sleep when its uncomfortably hot. Some places I've lived like San Francisco didn't usually have air conditioning - because it was only really hot about two weeks out of the year - we actually wore jackets sometimes in the summer!

I prefer justly nice cold. Easy to go anywhere that I like. If hot I feel very uncomfortable and hard to focus in doing my work. Hot or cold, life must go on and got to adapt with it make use of it.

That is so true, and as humans we are geared towards being able to adapt to different situations and conditions. I've lived in many different places, the far north of Alaska, the desert - now - and even Northern California in a city that changes day to day and hour to hour and even place to place (one part of the city to another) as far as weather. I love fall - not only for the fresh, sharp smell in the air and the beautiful colours but the perfect weather - not too hot - not too cold. What is the weather generally where you are - do you have extremes in your climate? Some states here don't - mild all year round. Some places the weather is hot hot hot in summer and the frigid in the winter.

I prefer hot over cold. It's much more comfortable to be too hot or too warm than it is to be too cold. This morning it was freezing in here and I asked my fiance to turn down the sir conditioning.

I've noticed that since my pregnancy I do tend to get cold more easily. My husband, had he his druthers, would keep it about 65 in here! I prefer it at least 70 degrees. Outside, its a desert, literally so even 74 would be an improvement!

Till recently I didn't know that i have an allergy to heat! I was born in winter, so naturally I prefer it.. but recently heat levels are rising and being out instantly gives me a headache and eye problem now. I like too much cold if I'm prepared for it. Once I almost fainted due to inadequate clothing while traveling

I get that too - headaches from the heat - has it been diagnosed? What does your name mean - something flies? Isn't fugit latin for flies - like tempus fugit? is hora hour?

Okay, guess I got the language wrong, in latin, Tempus Fugit means Time Flies while Hora Fugit is the hour flies - or the hour is fleeting - kinda the same thing though. Like, Hora Fugit, carpe diem - the hour flies (some I guess do translate this to time but in latin - its hour) so sieze the day. Or, Tempus volat, hora fugit. (Time is on the wing, the hour flies.) Okay, hora_fugit - I'm changing my facebook. Tell me what language is this, I obviously got it wrong - its not latin....

It definitely depends on the situation. I like the cold weather and I LOVE the rain, so long as I am warm and comfortable. I don't like to be cold, but I think it's great when it is cold and you're all rugged up. =] As far as sleeping goes, I like summer nights where it's hot but there is a cool breeze, and lots of ventilation. Good ol' coastal-town Australia!

Hi, artemis432. I prefer the cold over the hot. I can't stand heat. And I don't like to sweat either. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. I don't like when I have sweaty palms and slick thighs. I have never had to wear a jacket during the summer, not unless I was in a cold room or building.

so do you live in a cooler climate? one with milder summers and cold winters? we live on an island now and its about 10 degrees cooler then the city proper.
