I really think it depends on what it is exactly. From that, then I would see if it is okay to tell someone or not. Some secrets shouldn't be shared at all but some needed to be shared.

I actually dont think I have a secret like this - but if i did i probably wouldnt put it here =)
I had secrets before, that I was really ashamed of, but I realised with professional help that it was not my fault and I started to talk about it.

You shouldn't tell other people's secrets. If a friend tell you something and asked you never to tell anyone, then don't tell anyone.Period.And you shouldn't tell a secret that will spoil a surprise.And if there something about yourself that would make you feel exposed , then keep the secret. The one exception, anything health related because telling that secret will help you and others.
