Do you choose which discussion to respond in mylot?

Some of the discussions here in mylot are started just for the sake of starting a discussion and earning few cents. I do chose discussins to respond to, I only respond to discussions that have ligitimate concern and the user really wants to gather useful information. I do start a discussion that some of you might think silly, but I do not expect a respond from them. Often times these discussions are jokes that I would like to share to you guys. Look for them in my previous discussions and expect of more to come.

I guess if I could spell it might help! LOL I don't respond if there is nothing I can add or if I am not interested in the subject. I admit that I respond to less than half of my friends discussions because of those reasons. I do sometimes save a discussion if I think I might think of a response, but even those don't get responded to.

Same here ElicBxn. I usually choose which topic I could really relate to and not because they're from my friends. Actually, I don't really look for the author of the discussion, but rather what he/she had discussed about. It's just sad though that there are a lot of topics here without sense anymore. It's more of like a survey rather than the sharing of 'ideas' most of the time. But I still do appreciate those who make topics which digs up intelligence rather than pure nonsense or debates with no end. =)

I only respond to discussions that I find interesting or where I have had experience in the area that the poster wants to discuss. There is no way I would respond purely for the sake of posting a response...far to many interesting ones for that! But if there is nothing that interests me I will just come back another time.

even i choose discussions for responding...i respond to those which either i find funny or just feel like responding...for some good reason only..yes you are right even i see a lot of discussions everyday..just floating and drifting away..i mean without significant content in them..i am not criticizing any kind of post neither am saying its bad to start less meaningful discussions because it's everybody's right here to discuss and post anything they want...many times even i don't expect responses as i post general knowledge material sometimes without any question in them...

I am fairly picky about which discussions I respond to. It the discussions sparks my interest, then I will respond. If it is a discussions I do not feel I would have anything to contribute to, I move on.

I respond to only what I think I can give my best to, because there are posts made as "discussion traps" here. People starts discussions and neither do they comment on the responses they get, that I feel like I am the only one talking to myself(?)LoL I respond to discussions from active members, those who comments on it, those which interests me and those who attracts my attention. I believe posting jokes and recipes are against the guidelines here, maybe that's why you didn't get any response from it. They may not be deleted, but a member who responds to it will not receive any payment from those posts.

I too choose discussions to respond to especially if the discussions are not from my friends. As for friend's discussion, unless there is absolutely nothing I can say, I do try to respond. Of course, there are certain types of discussions I do not respond and will not respond. fyi, Unless mylot has revised their guidelines, posting joke discussions are not recommended in the guidelines.

I strongly agree with you friend. When I joined Mylot, it wasn't just for the purpose of making money, but to post reasonable discussion so I can learn from people out there. I don't respond to every discussion. I respond to discussions that made sense. Thanks and have a nice day.

yes,of course. i often choose discussions that i like, such as friend, making money online, reading, and so on. and i put them as my interests, then if there are some new discussions in them, i will know it at once. It is more easy to give a response. some discussions i can't give a response, becasue i know it little. i'm from China, and i know other countries little, especially india.

Hi Ricko82! I respond to discussions that appeal to me, some I learned something from and some makes me smile, some gives me inspiration and to some it is because I feel I can be of help. The discussions that I start are silly and sometimes I post because I wanted some affirmations on other people that I am not the only one who feels the same way about one thing. But however and whatever it is, I participate on discussions because I enjoy mostly of being a part of myLot. Take care and have a nice day!

Hi, i do normally choose which discussions to respond to, as they should concern or be something of my interest too. If the discussion will not interest me, i prefer not to talk about it nor comment on it. I also do start discussions that interest me or those from which i do expect a reply from. This is a nice place to share your ideas and opinions i feel , and we should also try to be as honest and sincere in our replies i feel, so that we are able to be of some help to the person seeking our advice, so i feel . Some people just comment or start a discussion and never tend to follow it up nor do they bother to reply to the comments made by others. Each person to their own choices, but i would find that very rude. If someone has commented to your discussion, its only courtesy, to at least reply back and comment or thank the person, some acknowlegement. Guess there are all kinds of people, and each person is different with their own ideas and opinions.

i respond to those discussions that i can relate to. i was going over the discussions posted and apparently some people just post topics just for the sake of posting. and some people just respond for the sake of responding. i guess it's alright though. to each his own. i just pick those that i am interested in and read through the discussions because there is just a lot to learn, apparently people have different views on things. besides i find it a waste of time to go over topics that i can't really relate to.

I usually try to respond to those discussions that interest me, or at least discussions that I have something to say in response to. Sometimes, it's hard, in spite of the thousands of conversations posted here. find that a lot of the discussions are very repetitive, going around and around in circles saying the same things over and over, and that is boring.

I do choose my discussions. It used to be that I would respond to any question but now it seems that many are getting deleted, which means my response is also getting dleleted. So now, I'm a lot more careful about which discusssion that I pick.

i do choose my discussions. there's a difference when you're responding to a discussion that you're interested in , than when you're responding just for the sake of getting a few cents in return. i say, might as well enjoy what i'm doing, and i'd enjoy it better if its something i'm interested in ;)

hi ricko, it is quite evident from your 10 star ratings, which you have obtained at 175 posts (till now)that you respond only to quality topics. Normally, i choose to respond discussions that my friends have started, and from my interests, and i prefer to answer those discussions in which i have some interest and know how.Mostly i avoid all the onliners started, for discussion sake.

Yes you are right ,some people are just answering in one word and some are starting a very out of the box discussion.Ok everyone has their own choice and I donot question about that.As regarding to my choice, I only respond to those which i feel I have knowledge about and I love about. So I am very selective and donot go for numbers while responding to the queries.
